Matt Richards | SVP of Operations, Government

Matt Richards has been with MDI for over 17 years, joining the young company as a project manager in 1993 and advancing quickly. In 1994 he was named Director of Network Services and was responsible for negotiating and managing medical and dental contracts for a national network of providers, in addition to the development and maintenance of the medical claims and records archiving database. From 1995-2007, he served as Vice President of Claims Management and HIPAA Compliance Officer. As Vice President of Claims Management, he was responsible for the medical claims for over 100,000 lives.

In 2009, Richards moved to Vice President of Client Services and Internal Audit. He serves as the client services liaison for public sector clients and is responsible for the implementation and operation of all contracts. He also serves an internal audit function by ensuring compliance with all government, commercial, and provider contracts; facilitating information flow to the holding company, identifying and implementing training opportunities with staff, policies, and procedures and providing leadership to all operational areas within the company.
