Our Custom Provider Network (CPN) gave MAG Mutual's 215 employees the freedom to choose which providers were in their network, which now includes more than 3,000 physicians, hospitals and specialists. By choosing who is in their network, MAG Mutual was able to improve the quality of care their employees received without the unnecessary contracts and expenses of a pre-determined network.
As an added benefit, all of MAG Mutual's medical data is processed through our Viewpoint Claims Monitoring service, which ensures the accuracy and validity of every claim as it is received. In the first six months, MDI identified over $36,000 in coding edits and duplicates for only $550,000 in total charges. That averages to $20 of savings on each of their 1,800 claims—or 6.5% of the company's healthcare charges.
