NewsOut and about with the MDI team

Jacksonville, FL – October 15, 2010

MDI announces a new 3-year agreement with HealthScreen, an independent health risk management company based in Jacksonville, Florida, to provide MDI Viewpoint Data Warehouse and Analytics.

Since 1997, HealthScreen has specialized in providing disease management, wellness/prevention initiatives, education and health culture communication plans for employer groups nationwide. HealthScreen assists patient groups and employers in controlling chronic conditions such as diabetes, congestive heart failure, and asthma, in order to help manage quality outcomes for the patient and total healthcare costs.

HealthScreen has contracted with MDI to provide a data warehouse that will supply role-based delivery of patient data and a next generation analytics package to track clinical outcomes, quality measures, and cost containment over time.  In the 3-year agreement, HealthScreen will shift their healthcare data—including information for more than 34,000 employees—over to MDI’s enterprise data warehouse and analytics platform.

The flexibility and functionality offered by MDI’s data warehouse will allow HealthScreen managers to identify at risk members, assign risk scores and track gaps in care in real time. MDI’s data visualization capabilities will allow them to measure performance of managed care groups against wider patient populations and provide a cost view of each patient under care management.

“We are always looking for ways to do our job better,” said Brandon Jolley, Executive Vice President of HealthScreen. “When we saw the capabilities of MDI’s platform, we knew we could use it to supplement what we already do in-house.  We were amazed by their willingness to collaborate with us and their ability to customize a solution to fit our needs.”

“With the ability to measure and assess healthcare data in real time, we can make a significant impact in the lives of patients, on their employers and on the risk management industry as a whole.”
