MDI Announces Groundbreaking Innovation to Improve Medical Record AccuracyIntroduces EARL, a New High-Tech Systematic Tool Saint Augustine, FL- "We're putting a revolution in healthcare delivery at our clients' fingertips," Medical Development International (MDI) CEO Richard Willich said today, as he announced the launch of a groundbreaking technological innovation: Empowered Analysis and Reporting Log-also known as EARLSM. EARLSM provides users with a visual overview of a patient's health history and provides instant analysis of the patient's diagnoses, the body parts that are affected by the treatment, the severity of the patient's diagnoses, the associated appointment information, and the processed claims. MDI's EARLSM is HIPAA-compliant and user-friendly. The information used in EARLSM is collected from a variety of sources, including the medical codes that are found on the claims, the information collected at the time the appointment is scheduled, and the medical records associated with the appointment. Along with the visual image, the patient's demographics, appointments, electronic medical records, and electronic claims are all attached to EARLSM so the user can easily access all of the historical medical information related to the patient. "MDI is filled with boundless creative energy. We're working to harness that energy to advance our clients' efforts to deliver health care efficiently," Willich said. "We're proud of EARLSM. Advancements such as EARLSM allow customers to analyze data accurately, effectively, and consistently so they can improve the quality and efficiency of the care their patients receive." Customers often express their frustrations with the extensive paper trails that contain lengthy medical records and claim information. The information contained in this paperwork can be extremely costly for customers to collect, and MDI believes customers should be able to utilize all of the data to help improve their healthcare systems. For a long time, the documented information was only used to pay bills. Now, MDI's EARLSM is putting the paper trail to work. With MDI's advanced technology, a patient's documented medical history begins the moment MDI schedules the patient's first appointment. All of the information collected from the appointment, including the subsequent medical records and claims, is embedded into the MDI database and is attached to EARLSM. A visual display of the patient's medical history and the severity of the patient's diagnoses are then illustrated through EARLSM. "EARLSM not only increases efficiency by connecting all collected and related medical information via a World Health Organization standard, ICD-9 diagnostic codes, but also provides clarity for medical providers and their patients," MDI Chief Technology Officer Jason Green said. EARLSM provides secure electronic storage, while offering an easy-to-navigate tool for users. The traditional system of using file folders to store mounds of paperwork is not only insecure, but does not allow customers to reach their full organizational potential. With the launch of EARLSM, technology is streamlining and securing vital health information. "With EARLSM, missing information and inadequate record keeping should become a thing of the past," MDI Vice President of Operations Drew Peterson said. "EARLSM is designed to improve the safe delivery of healthcare and to advance crucial data analysis. Customers, patients, and the healthcare community can benefit greatly by the advent of EARLSM." The development of standards for Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) interoperability is at the forefront of the national health care agenda. Without interoperable EMRs, practicing physicians, pharmacies, and hospitals cannot share the essential patient information that is needed for timely, patient-centered, and portable care. Using the information from the claims that MDI receives, EARLSM allows users to find the patient's medical history in one convenient location and has the potential to save lives. MDI is a leader in healthcare management systems, providing service innovations to healthcare customers. MDI's advanced IT professionals create a variety of cutting-edge programs that empower MDI employees, customers, and participating healthcare providers to effectively communicate, collaborate, and create as a collective team. |
